Caring about the environment by reducing and accounting for the environmental impact of our activities and raising awareness among all parties involved. Corio works towards reducing the production of CO2, energy, water and waste in its centres with the aim of enhancing the quality of life of the catchment area. We also want to reduce the use of natural resources, as this benefits us in terms of cost savings while benefitting the planet. The reductions we intend to achieve and which we will achieve in close cooperation with the tenants, apply to the common public areas as well as the rented areas of our shopping centres. Together with these stakeholders we aim to create sustainable shopping centres. Every year we commit to improving our environmental footprint, a goal that requires investments and an open-minded approach to development and re-development, together with various technical and facilities issues.
